Jamison is a cool place also, you can get a special bottle of Whisky you can only get there. Jamison is no longer distilled in the city..so this is just a museum/bar
Guiness Storehouse a must do and go to the Gravity Bar ontop (no cash sales you have to get your drink with your ticket in)
Pablio Picante is good quick service food Pablo Picante | Best Burrito in Dublin
Do the Red Hop on Hop off bus...it gets you to all the areas of town it is cheesy but...you will learn the layout of the city and some good places to go. Also the city is very walkable once you know where you are going.
Brazen Head- A must do tourist place. Go into the main bar (off to the right) and learn how to Pour a Perfect Pint of Guiness (You have to ask to do this). Their Bangers and Mash is good....if you go and there is a bigger guy at the bar his name is Mark. Also...when I was there...a MN State Trooper patch was highly visible behind the bar with all the other patches.
The Irish Potato Cake Company is a cool little (very little) place for a quick light meal. Traditional Irish Potato Cakes (kinda like a fancy hashbrown) Irish Potato Cake Company | Danny Mulligan | Mullingar
Gay Bars-
Panti Bar- Sit and drink type of bar with good music.
George- Dance Club with Drag shows.
Street 66- Coffee Shop Vibe but with drinks
BELFAST-Northern Ireland- The train to Belfast is quick and easy from Dublin...you can do a day trip up there if you want.
If you go to Belfast go to Crown Liquor it is a bar that still has gas lights. The area was bombed a lot during the "troubled years" Nicholson's Pub in Belfast | The Crown Liquor Saloon (nicholsonspubs.co.uk)
Also, the hop on hop off bus tour is good here...you can learn a lot about the "troubles" and also see the peace wall.
Enniskillen- Northern Ireland
This is the area my family is from. It is a beautiful part of Ireland. You can get there easily from Dublin by bus...it is about a 2 hour ride.... you will literally drive 50' from my relative's farm. It is a simple town, but "cute" Charlies is a great pub....if you go to this area.... let me know and I will give you more info. Sean Magee got his start there; this summer he was on tour so when he foudn out I was in town he sent his dad to sing for me at the pub. Sean Magee - Tippin' up to Nancy - YouTube and Nathan Carter also got his start at Charlies Nathan Carter - The Morning After [Official Music Video] 4k HDR - YouTube If they are in town they hang out at Charlies....and I guess there are some wild after parties. :) The Enniskillen Hotel is a quick walk....not a fancy place but it works (no AC)
